Michele is a public relations professional whose 25+ year career has spanned academic institutions, international corporations, public agencies, and non-profit organizations. A respected strategist, her expertise encompasses brand awareness, broadcast production, community outreach, crisis communications, marketing and messaging, media relations, publication development, and special event management.
As a member of The Wolcott Company team, Michele most recently has provided public relations support to Seedstock, a social venture focused on innovation and sustainability in agriculture, as well as to the City of Claremont, the Los Angeles Housing Partnership, and Valencia Water Company.
A former consultant to the South Bay Cities Council of Governments, Michele led the South Bay Energy Savings Center in directing its environmental message to a 16-city regional population of more than 500,000, with a documented average of 5,000 persons per year being educated in water conservation and energy efficiency practices. Accordingly, she developed advertising and promotional programs to support these efforts in partnership with West Basin Municipal Water District, Torrance Municipal Water Department, The Gas Company, and Southern California Edison.
Prior to contracting with South Bay Cities, Michele served as administrative analyst and public information officer for the City of Rolling Hills Estates where she established press relations, produced local CATV government programming, and coordinated economic development efforts. Additionally, she oversaw city environmental programs in compliance with national, regional, and local government mandates.
A graduate of the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and English and a Master of Arts in Broadcast Journalism, Michele presently serves on the Board of Directors for the Algalita Marine Research Institute and is a member in good standing with the Los Angeles chapter of the Public Relations Society of America as well as the national parent organization of PRSA.
